Skin types 4, 5, and 6, pictured below, should seek laser hair removal treatments with a Yag laser for best results.

What Skin Type Are You? Lasers for hair removal work by heating melanin, the pigment that gives your hair and skin its' color. The best candidate for laser hair removal has light skin and dark hair. There are different types of lasers for different types of skin. There is currently no laser on the market that treats blonde, gray or red hair. The pictures below are just a sample of skin types.
